In 2005, Mark Mushalla launched M Squared with the aim of providing virtual advisory services to local businesses. Mark is a proud native of Binghamton and his deep-rooted connection to the community has been a driving force behind his mission. Drawing on his extensive background as a CFO in private accounting and his entrepreneurial experience, he recognized an opportunity to deliver personalized virtual financial services to meet the unique needs of businesses.
M Squared evolved into a family-run business when his son, Alex Mushalla, joined the team in 2009 and subsequently acquired the business from Mark in 2020. Alex became an integral part of the team with an associate’s degree from SUNY Broome and a knack for developing trusted relationships with his clients. His proficient management of payroll and all bookkeeping matters strengthened M Squared’s reputation as a reliable ally for businesses of all sizes.
